This evening after a long day at work, I hauled myself over to the surface design show over in Angel. Really, I'm so glad I did. This is the second year that I've been and I'd forgotten just how inspiring it was. There was so much to see, loads of really innovative and beautiful materials. It was also a nice opportunity to speak with suppliers.
I listened to some of the talks held for the Pechakucha evening. More information on pecha kucha can be found here. Particularly thought provoking was a talk by Duncan Baker Brown who is an architect at BBM architects. Here the ethos is of completely sustainable design, reusing materials which people wouldn't think to reuse. Definitely food for thought.
